Anand College of Pharmacy, Agra in collaboration with Association of
Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (U.P.) conducted National Conference
th on “Recent Trends in Pharmaceutical Sciences (RTPS'09)” from 14 to
th 15 November 2009 at Anand College of pharmacy, NH-2, Keetham,
Agra.
Around 250 delegates comprising of teachers, research scholars&
students from all over India participated in this conference. The main
objective of the conference was to provide common platform to discuss &
update the knowledge with respect to the trend setting areas of
pharmaceutical sciences.
The Conference was inaugurated by Dr. V. M. katoch, Director General,
ICMR, New Delhi and the Inauguration function was presided over by
Mr. Y. K. Gupta, Vice-Chairman, Sharda Group of Institutions.
Welcome address was delivered by Dr. B. D. Gupta, Director, Anand
campus and Dr. K. C. Gupta. During the conference, various eminent
speakers from all over India namely Dr. Y. K. Gupta, AIIMS, New Delhi,
Dr. R. K. Khar, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, Dr. S. K. Singh, IT-BHU,
Varanasi, Dr. W. Haq, CDRI, Lucknow, Dr. Jawahar Lal, CDRI,
Lucknow, Dr. A. V. Muruganandam, Indian Herbs, Dr. Pratim
Choudhary, MLS University, Udaipur, Dr. U. D. Gupta, JALMA,
Agra,
Dr. R. B. Bodla, KIET, Ghaziabad, Dr. A. Bhattacharya,
Dibrugarh University, Dr. Surendra Singh, AIIMS, New Delhi, Prof. R.
Shukla, SCP, Varanasi and Dr. D. S. Rathore, RCP, Jaipur delivered talks
on various topics related to the main theme of the conference. Scientific
poster presentation session was organized with above 100 participants
and Oral presentation session was organized with selected participants.
th The Valedictory function was organized on 15 November, 2009. Dr.
Praful R. Naik, Bilcare Limited, Pune graced the occasion as the chief
guest while Dr. Rajeev S. Raghuvanshi, Ranbaxy Research Laboratories
was the Guest of Honor. Vote of thanks for the function was presented by
Prof. Mahesh Prasad, Principal, Anand College of Pharmacy
